Small fragment  of this two panel 24 inch by 8 feet painting.  There have been interruptions so this post has been delayed.   Although it is wondered about what has been lost with time used elsewhere.  That is going to be a forever issue. There is so much progress to be made that interruptions although necessary or demanded, are excepted with prejudice.  It is hoped that obsession which drives all art does continue to leave some room for other moments.  Time is short and there is only one person that can finish this path.  That is never forgotten once the brush is back in hand.

Fragment of painting.  How are decisions made is fairly simple it is a slight look, a glance, a drift over, a step back with a scan.  It does not take much but the answer is always yes or no. There is no turning that inside out, or flipping it.  Only when the work is near completion, does the acceptance that all things are flawed begins the reality that sinks deep, and unquestionably close. Then there is no more turning back just the need to move on that grows greater everyday.

Painting 24inches by 8 feet, close up.  Each work finds its own identity.  Maybe that identity is what separates art from wall decoration.

It is understood that everything can eventually be treated as wall decoration, and that everything can be turned into art; but when everything becomes art, what becomes certain is that art has left the room.
